While updates tend to focus on which characters will be delivered as DLC, "balance adjustment," including battle commands which are unfolded from numerous choices such as "Ninjutsu," "Secret Technique," "Evasion" and "Guard," also plays very important role in enhancing a more exhilarating battle experience.
So! This time, we introduce the commitment behind the balance adjustment of the update data Ver. 1.20, which was released on March 27, as well as the adjustment for the next update Ver. 1.30!

Balance adjustment of the update data Ver. 1.20 (released on March 27)
Priority of Ninjutsu
This title has been developed with a focus on Ninjutsu, based on 3 themes: "ninjutsu battles," "ninjutsu combos" and "simple controls."
However, we have received comments from the players that the speedy battles of the previous games have been lost by enhancing the performance of certain ninjutsu and this has been improved in Ver. 1.20.
For all direct-attack type ninjutsu, we have adjusted the timing to grant the priority to be slower. It is now possible to block the start of the opponent's ninjutsu by chakra dash like in the previous series. We hope that this has allowed you to enjoy speedy battles.
Note: what is priority?
It is a set value that determines the superiority/inferiority of attacks when players collide.
The one with the stronger value, called the priority, will win.

While the combo was triggered, it was being strongly blocked by support ninjutsu from the opponent; therefore, Leader Change was adjusted as a countermeasure against this situation.
To be more specific, when Leader Change is made, a higher priority attack detection is made.
This adjustment increases the chances of blocking the opponent’s support ninjutsu with Leader Change, regardless of whether the combo is triggered on the ground or in the air.
However, in Ver. 1.20, it was difficult to see when it was triggered so this is planned to be improved in future updates.

Recovery speed of the support gauge
The recovery speed of the support gauge during two-man cell has increased.
The advantage of the two-man cell is its high turnover rate.

Survey on update data Ver. 1.20 in April
We have received many responses to our survey regarding the battle balance of the update data 1.20! Thank you very much for your cooperation.
This survey provided us with more valuable feedback than we could have imagined in order to understand how everyone felt about the balance adjustments.
Regarding satisfaction with the overall battle balance adjustment, 67% of respondents were "very satisfied/somewhat satisfied", 26% were "neither satisfied nor dissatisfied", and 7% were "somewhat dissatisfied/very dissatisfied". While there is still room for improvement, we believe that the adjustment plan has resulted in a higher level of satisfaction for many players.

Ver. 1.30 contains the adjustments that were made before the survey, and it is intended to improve the usability of some characters.
※ Adjustments based on the feedback of the survey are scheduled to be delivered in Ver. 1.40.
For example, "Sasuke Uchiha (the Taka)" was unable to pursue with Chakra Dash after an aerial combo, but this has been adjusted in Ver. 1.30 so that he can pursue with Chakra Dash.

In the survey, we received a lot of comments such as "I can now enjoy even more strategic and speedy battles!" or "This update is a part of the game which has not been improved in the previous series, so I am happy as a fan!"
