Born into a renowned family of musicians and groomed from a young age, Takuto was regarded as a promising future musician. After witnessing shinobi in action, he grew to admire them and defied his parents' objections to become both a shinobi and a musician. He has almost no talent in ninjutsu, taijutsu, or genjutsu—the only skill he's ever mastered is Summoning.
[Jutsu] Bird Choir, Flock Conductor
He commands small birds he befriended while practicing singing and playing instruments in the forest. From safe vantage points like rooftops or treetops, he waves his arms like a musical conductor, directing the birds to act according to his commands. By having his birds sing in chorus, he can produce various melodies that trigger different sound-based jutsu. A massive flock's chirping can also create noise for disruption operations.
Additionally, his birds can also map building layouts, track personnel positions, and gather intelligence from overheard conversations, enabling a wide range of espionage activities.

At first glance it looks like an ordinary tailcoat, but there are bird motifs subtly woven into the details throughout, which is very nice. It's not overdone and is just the right amount. He seems to specialize in espionage and sabotage using birds, but if he incorporated bombs or poison into his arsenal as well, he could become a truly terrifying asset.

Due to the nature of his jutsu, he dislikes the restrictions on lifestyle and behavior that come with deep involvement in classified information and VIP affairs. To avoid acquiring more information than necessary, he uses a village-appointed intermediary for accepting missions, communicating with clients, and exchanging goods.
A lone wolf by nature who avoids deep personal connections, he nonetheless has a side that enjoys entertaining others, which is what originally drove him to pick up the pen.
His most important work is a collection of short stories entitled "Maki Monogatari" (volumes 1-3 of which have already been published) and they are currently a major hit both within the village and beyond.

First and foremost, the ability design for Restricted Archive is incredibly good. It's a bit complex, but the explanation is so concise and clear that it just clicks right away. They've even listed out specific use cases, making it easy to picture visually. The character design itself is also pretty great (I love the cat, too!). The artist behind this is already a regular in this contest at this point. Honestly, since they are regularly featured in this series, I'd love it if they'd just go ahead and draw their own manga. I'd definitely read it.

A genin from the Hidden Rain Village. He always wears a rain poncho, which was a keepsake from his father, and a hood styled after a kappa, a Japanese water spirit, with a built-in voice-changer. His favorite food is kappa maki (seaweed sushi rolls), which he used to enjoy eating with his parents.
His restraining jutsu using his chakra-infused poncho is so strong that even jonin can't break free.

Wanting to protect her skin from UV rays, she requested desk duty and was assigned to the travel expenses division. The work isn't particularly difficult, but since most shinobi can't be bothered to file their paperwork properly, it's actually quite stressful. She's always cleaning up other people's messes. "Got it. I'll sort it out on my end" is practically her catchphrase.
Many people are in her debt, so information naturally flows her way. Advice like "Just so you know, those two are at each others' throats right now" has been known to throw mission team composition into disarray.
For shinobi, where personal conflicts can be a matter of life and death, she's actually an indispensable asset.

So competent that everyone goes to her, she became the village's go-to source of information and eventually an irreplaceable one-of-a-kind asset. The way the character came to be is really interesting. The phone handling, the face mask for infection prevention, and the casually styled hair all brilliantly convey that "capable professional" vibe. The "moumou" bag, which is a play on "miumiu", and French manicure hint at a fulfilling personal life as well. And the headband keychain is just adorable!

A rogue ninja from the Hidden Sand Village. He drifts from place to place in search of his father, who became a rogue ninja when Kaiji was still a child. Along the way, he watches over other rogue ninja in their final moments and uses his ninjutsu "Ash Letter Funeral Procession" to carry the messages they could never deliver.
Many rogue ninja have even sought him out after hearing rumors of this jutsu.

By infusing chakra into the ashes of a cremated person, the deceased's final message can be delivered to whoever they thought of most in their last moments. The chakra-infused ashes fly to the recipient and form text in the air to convey the message.
He developed this jutsu out of a special compassion for rogue ninja, born in part from his feelings about his own father.

I love the idea of a jutsu that delivers messages from the dead. From settling unfinished business, to bringing comfort to bereaved families, to solving cases and obtaining classified information, his services must be in huge demand. The rows of headbands he wears, like a soldier carrying the dog tags of fallen comrades, are incredibly striking. The melancholy expression and overall atmosphere are also fantastic.

The daughter of a glasswork artisan. She developed a chakra slime using a technique similar to glass welding. She hates anything indecent (or so she insists). She'll snap "Don't go getting any weird ideas!" at anyone who gets flustered even though she's the one who caused it.
[Ninjutsu] Gas Slime
The slime contains a special gas inside.
Flooding it with a large amount of chakra all at once causes the slime to burst, forcing the target to inhale the gas and fall asleep. Since anyone's chakra can trigger the burst, carelessly channeling chakra into it thinking it's just a trap can be dangerous.

This character uses a jutsu, or rather, a ninja tool, that might not be entirely appropriate for a manga targeted to adolescent boys, but the setting is elaborate and really sparks the imagination. The fact that it would actually be effective in a serious battle is a nice touch. The position of the headband knot is a little unusual, which is cute.

Members of this clan all possess exceptional leg strength, as well as an impeccable sense of smell and hearing. Her needle-like hair can extend and retract freely, and she can control it at will to skewer enemies or defend herself.
[Ninjutsu] Reverberating Chorus
One of her clan's secret ninjutsu. She plants specially tagged kunai in four directions, creating a barrier that protects her and boosts her physical senses, allowing her to pick up conversations and footsteps up to 100 km away. Prior to training, she could only detect sounds within a 5 km radius. After use, her vision, hearing, and sense of smell become dulled while her sense of touch becomes heightened. She trains to fight by relying solely on that sense. Since she's a support type, however, this jutsu is always designed to be used in a three-man squad. Body temperature regulation also becomes difficult after activation.

The ability is easy to convey visually, and having that characteristic properly reflected in the design is a great plus. I also like how her clothing choices are practically motivated by her need for temperature regulation.

A Divine Tree born from someone consumed by hatred. Innately gentle, he even went so far as to rescue the person trapped inside the tree that originally created him. His self-sacrificing spirit meant he never got to meet Jura.
His jutsu calms and soothes his opponents, making them unable to fight.

Amazing! So he's a Divine Tree with a gentle heart who actually rescued the "person turned into a tree" that served as his prototype. He presumably offered up his Thorn Soul Bulb of his own accord. What would Jura learn from his actions? Now that's an intriguing question. The design has a creepy quality to it that works nicely too.

The only daughter of the Getto clan, she is absolutely head-over-heels for Sarada Uchiha. It's no exaggeration to say that Aina's entire world revolves around her. She won't hesitate even to attack an ally if it means protecting Sarada.
She rarely shows emotion on her face, and with a tough-looking rabbit always by her side, no one ever used to approach her. That all changed when Sarada reached out and befriended her.
She also adores rabbits and is constantly snuggling her pet bunny Toki. She finds it rejuvenating to watch Sarada pet Toki every now and then.

Allows her to predict her opponent's actions. She can also project moonlight at opponents intense enough to blind them. Her chakra turns from gold, and is amplified when the moon is out.

First of all, the design is excellent. The rabbit motif is seamlessly woven into the sash, hair accessory, and even the shape of her eyelashes, and it all looks stylish. I love how the rabbit's face covers the top line of the headband wrapped around her neck, which really emphasizes its fluffiness. Combined with the detailed profile, the character feels genuinely real.

Since he's hopeless around women and can't get married, he's anxious about having no heir to carry on the family tradition. He loves festivals and performs with his lion dance puppet to delight the crowds.
[Ninjutsu] Divine Possession
Activated when the lion dance puppet bites the operator's head, triggering a fusion. For 5 minutes, all their abilities receive a temporary power-up, enabling the puppet wielder to overcome all of their weaknesses. However, the consequences of exceeding those 5 minutes are unknown.

The 7th-generation head of a clan that carries on a certain traditional performing art. But he's bad with women and is panicking over the lack of an heir. You can feel his anxiety just by looking at him—his desperation is palpable. What's even more amazing is the fact that the creator of this 44-year-old man is just 11 years old. I can't help but wonder why they chose such a mature theme.
