Shinobi Striker Developers' Letter #8 Is Here!

It's time to determine the world's greatest ninja in the Ninja World League!
Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is an online multiplayer game where you go head-to-head with other ninja in fast-paced, acrobatic battles to vie for the honor of being crowned the strongest of them all!!

We are so grateful to everyone who has been playing Shinobi Striker.

In our 8th Developers' Letter, we'll be sharing details about the newest character joining the fray, Sasuke Uchiha (Young Ver. Final Battle), along with information on the latest items!

The newest character joining the lineup is Sasuke Uchiha (Young Ver. Final Battle)!
Wielding the power of the Curse Mark, and having set off on a path steeped in darkness, a young Sasuke Uchiha makes an appearance! In Shinobi Striker, he joins our lineup as a ranged type character specialized in overwhelming the enemy with continual attacks! Keep reading for an in-depth look at the abilities available to Sasuke Uchiha (Young Ver. Final Battle)!

Ninjutsu 1 - Chidori Layering

Drawing upon the power of the Curse Mark, unleash a chakra-fueled charging thrust. On enemy hit or guard, Chidori Layering's Ninjutsu cooldown will be greatly reduced.

The framework is the same as the standard Chidori. However, it has a special trait where landing a direct hit on an enemy will greatly reduce the cooldown time, by nearly 70% in fact! Also, it's very quick compared to other forward-charging Ninjutsu. That in tandem with the cooldown speed will allow you to overwhelm enemies with your speedy movements. But to balance it out, its power has been tuned to be low, and it's possible to be hit out of it during the thrust. Using it along with restraining Ninjutsu, such as Lightning Shuriken Net or Shikigami Dance: Shield, will allow you to score a direct hit, while using it along with other forward-charging Ninjutsu will allow for enemy camp disruption. There are a multitude of uses depending on what this technique is paired with!

Ninjutsu 2 - Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu

Throw out a collective of wired shuriken that binds the target on hit, followed by setting the wires ablaze. After the attack, the wires will temporarily remain in place, reducing enemy movement speed and evasion.
This is a powerful, all-in-one Ninjutsu that binds, attacks, and debuffs from long range! While this is great for usage in containment, combos, interception, and more, its weakness lies in quite a lengthy recovery period even on direct hit. This can be used to put pressure on enemies when used with other long-range techniques like Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu, or can be paired with Ninjutsu like Heavenly Hand Power to cover for the long recovery time. Be sure to try it out and find what works for you.


Secret Technique - Cursemark Second State

Unleash the power of the Curse Mark and attain a massive boost to physical ability! While the technique is active, Strong Attacks will be converted into unique attacks, and an additional input will yield a Chidori attack composed of terrifying chakra. Furthermore, while this Secret Technique is equipped, knocking out an enemy will increase the Secret Technique gauge.

This offensive, self-strengthening Secret Technique allows you to gain an even greater advantage upon defeating opponents! What's more, the Chidori unleashed through additional attack input can charge through terrain and foe alike, so it's possible to take out a number of enemies at once from long range. This Secret Technique is recommended for anyone who wants to keep up the pressure on their opponents.

Sasuke Uchiha (Young Ver. Final Battle) is now available for use in the free update, so have fun using him on the battlefield! By purchasing the Special Ninjutsu Training, your avatar will be able to use his Ninjutsu!

Thanks to everyone, Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker has reached its 6.5 year anniversary on February 28th, 2025! To celebrate, since the conclusion of maintenance on February 27th, we are holding the 6.5-Year Anniversary Campaign!

Next up, let's take a look at the two new SS+ Items that were added in this update!

Ranged Type Weapon - Scientific Ninja Tool: Skyward Lightning
A bow-type Scientific Ninja Tool that allows you to fire various chakra arrows with different properties!
In addition to executing combos from long range via arrow-based normal attacks, as a new weapon gimmick, charging strong attacks with a long press will change what happens when you shoot! Level 1 will be a flame arrow spread, level 2 will be a terrain-piercing arrow, and level 3 will rain arrows down on enemies from above. Also, landing a strong attack variant after a normal attack will cause a specific arrow wound state. Hitting an enemy in this state with a normal attack finisher, or any of the various strong attacks, will cause a follow-up attack. This adds a higher degree of technicality compared to previous long-range specialty weapons by adding a charged strong attack feature, but mastering the weapon will allow for oppressive, one-sided offense from a distance!

Heal Type Weapon - Tekkou: 8 Trigrams Palm
A weapon that recreates the Byakugan and Gentle Fist of Konoha's storied Hyuga clan is here!
The continuous attacks of the recreated 8 Trigrams Palm are overwhelming! And as a bonus, it even recreates the ability to see the chakra pathways of enemies you've hit. This weapon allows for the most number of hits of any released thus far, the lengthiest combos of any heal type weapon, and high damage to boot. This makes it a perfect choice for anyone who wants to be a menace on the front lines of battle.

The SS+ weapons revealed above are scheduled to be added sequentially to the Scroll Lineup.

The Special Ninjutsu set to be added to the game as part 4 of the "Awakened Tailed Beast" theme is the heal type Ninjutsu: "Host Transformation: Seven Tails"!

A Secret Technique that transforms the user by releasing Seven Tails chakra, and unleashes a terrifying tornado! Following the attack, a tailwind will blow that strengthens the physical ability of you and your allies. What's more, the tailwind effect will be extended if enemies are knocked out.

It's a Secret Technique that both attacks enemies and supports allies at once! The tornado's damage is rather low compared to other Secret Techniques, but the fact that it pierces through terrain allows it to be a useful attack from a variety of angles. The technique's effect grants powerful buffs to all allies, such as a boost to movement speed, evasion, and attack tracking ability, a shortening of Ninjutsu and Substitution cooldown, and an increase to the Secret Technique gauge. These buffs extend when the jutsu caster defeats an enemy, so be sure to act aggressively while buffs are active, and aim to prolong the effects! Be careful, though—the effects will be canceled if the jutsu caster is defeated.

This Ninjutsu is set to be added to the game sometime after the next update.

Next, we'll be giving a brief explanation on the balance adjustments we've made for the 2.61 update and what our intentions behind them were.

This update is centered around Ninjutsu that were somewhat inconvenient when initially implemented and needed to be made easier to use. As an example, techniques like Kamui, Earth Style: Earth Pillar Explosion, and Water Prison Rosary Bondage Jutsu are now able to be used while in the air.
While Kamui and Water Prison Rosary Bondage Jutsu are able to be used to start a combo from the air, Earth Style: Earth Pillar Explosion becomes not just a ground area attack, but a way to quickly drop down from midair for a surprise attack. As for other Ninjutsu that received adjustments, Rasengan is easier to score multiple hits with even when the internet connection is poor, and Chidori now has super armor while charging forward and is unable to be flinched except by a select few attacks, and this is just the tip of the iceberg.

We plan to make more adjustments to types and Ninjutsu moving forward and are closely monitoring battle situations and data.

Heal Type Weapon - Fuu's Wings

A weapon that recreates the wings that Fuu the Seven Tails Jinchuriki wields in battle. Just as she fights while dancing through the air, you'll be able to employ nimble movements for use in surprise attacks. Thanks to the ability to use strong attacks to charge down enemies while attacking, this is a good weapon to use aggressively on the front lines.

Attack Type Weapon - Viperblade: Night Fang

A blade designed to be used with a summoned beast.
While this weapon can of course be used to cut down enemies, it also allows you to coordinate with a snake in various ways to take them down! Have access to slashes coated in poison from the snake wrapped around the scabbard, or summon a giant snake using the sword itself as a talisman!

Ranged Type Weapon - Staff: Fire Deity's Roar

A staff built using the sacred tree which promotes chakra control!
This weapon specializes in long-range attacks such as using strong attacks to send out a volley of fire release bullets or bring lightning crashing down on your enemies' heads. It is particularly strong in close-range compared to other ranged weapons, as you can strike opponents using the staff as well!

Ninja Tool - Chili Pepper Pill

Only defense types can use this secret recipe pill passed down through the Akimichi clan! Upon use, you won't flinch from certain attacks and your physical ability will be increased, but at the cost of your health rapidly decreasing. If you're willing to take that risk, you'll enjoy overwhelming attack power and speed, as well as the ability to pressure enemies using your super armor! However, if you're unable to finish the job, you'll be left in quite the dangerous predicament, so be sure to use expert timing.
