Bandit Ringleader Shojoji's Scheme
Although the threat of Momoshiki has passed, a shadowy organization infamous in the ninja world is on the move.
Tento, the daimyo's son whom Boruto was assigned to escort, is kidnapped by a gang of thieves known as the "Mujina Robbery Ring".
Boruto is determined to rescue him, and goes alone to infiltrate the hideout of the ringleader, Shojoji!

They succeed in catching him off guard and go in for the attack! Working together, the son of the Hokage and the son of the daimyo are able to apprehend the criminal.

Facing the Skilled Ex-Ninja, Ao!!
Boruto and the rest of Team 7 run into Ao, a powerful former Kirigakure ninja who served as a close aide to the Fifth Mizukage.
However, the ex-ninja now works as an outside collaborator for an underground organization called "Kara", and engages the Konoha shinobi in battle!

Ao's years of fighting experience and concealed scientific ninja tools give him an advantage, but Boruto's team creates a strategy to counter him, working together as shinobi!

Koji Kashin of the "Inners", the Core Force of Kara, Appears!!
Moments after the battle with Ao ends, a man named Koji Kashin appears and begins to attack the team!
He is somehow able to use secret jutsu taught only in Konoha, such as toad summons and even Rasengan...!
Faced with this formidable opponent, Team 7's Jonin leader, Konohamaru, is overpowered, and lit ablaze by one of Koji's techniques.

Boruto's "Karma" Activates!!
Seeing his master in danger, Boruto instinctively triggers the Karma on his palm!!
This allows him to absorb Koji's "flames of purgatory", saving Konohamaru's life.

Though surprised to see Boruto's Karma, Koji Kashin soon collects himself and chooses to withdraw.

Although many mysteries remain, Team 7 begins their journey back to Konoha.
